Emotional Freedom of Home schooling

Sadly, peer pressure, competition, boredom, and bullies are all part of a typical school day. This can be a particular problem for girls. According to studies, self-esteem plummets in middle-school girls. However, similar studies of home schooled girls have shown that self-esteem remains intact and that these girls continue to thrive. Home schooled kids can dress and act and think the way they want, without fear of ridicule or a need to "fit in." They live in the real world, where lives aren't dictated by adolescent trends and dangerous experimentation.

  1. I feel like home schooling is better because kids dont have to deal with all the pressure of trying to fit in with the new fashion or trends. kids are mean these days and if you arent wearing the newest clothes or the hottest shoes you cant be friends. silly kids. good blog pookie =]

  2. Nice job Ty. But i think going to a public school is the way to go because i think home schooled kids are sheltered from alot of everyday things they will encounter in college that if they went to public school they would now how to deal with them

  3. I think form this perspective that homeschooled kids are lucky they don't have to deal with everything that happens in school. Granted they wont know a lot of people like if they attended school, but at least they when meeting new people they wont shy away or be concerned about what people think.

  4. I was home schooled K-8. I think home schooling helped me a lot. I loved being able to learn at my own speed, have a lot of extra time to study my own interests, and more time to read and write for fun. I feel I am better prepared for life because I was home schooled.

  5. Tyler,

Excellent post. Oddly, this sounds very similar to another article that I once read online. Check out the link below:

It seems that you and the writer have a very similar style! Way to go!

  6. I think being home schooled may be better then actuually going to school. Kids aren't bullied, but they are stopped from making friends. When kids go from home schooling to public school, it's harder to make friends.
